ABOUT THE AUTHOR: KATERINA MUSETTI

Katerina Musetti is an award winning artist, published author and Opera singer. Her love for Juliana jewelry began in Milano, Italy when her voice teacher the late Renata Tebaldi introduced her to the cameo suites and Juliana pieces that are used in the great Opera houses around the world. Today, between her performance schedule, she resides as Artist in Residence at Seton Hill Univeristy and Director of the Opera program. Her work has been featured in many publications including A Passion for Purses by Schiffer Publishing, The Best of Pennsylvania Artists, Adapting Quilt Patterns to Polymer Clay, Belle Armoire Magazine, Haute Handbags, Polymer Cafe, and The Best of America's Artists, to name a few. Her award winning handmade Opera purses and bead-embroidery collars are featured and sold in Museums and Galleries throughout the United States. Her work is influenced by her love for the extravagant designs found in D&E Juliana jewelry.

D and E aka Juliana Black 5 Link Bracelet/ER D&E aka Juliana bracelet has the 5 links and etched clasp. This is one style of bracelet made without the safety chain.

The major links are set with 2 black navettes and one black chaton. The joining links are set with a larger black chaton. The metal is gunmetal color.

The clip earrings repeat the pattern of the bracelet except the metal is silvertone.

The earrings measure 1 1/4 and the bracelet measures 7 1/4 X 3/4 inches. All stones are prong set and the condition is very good.

D&E aka Juliana Multi Shade Pink Demi
D&E aka Juliana demi has a brooch and clip earrings.

The brooch has navettes of pale piknk, medium pink and dark pink. The pale pink navettes are unfoiled and set open back. Setting over the navettes in the center is a circle of small pink chatons and in the center is a large fuchsia chaton.

The stones are all prong set and the condition is very good.

The brooch measures 1 1/4 X 2 3/4 inches and the earrings are 1 X 5/8 inches.

The earrigns have one of each color navette with pink chatons.

D&E Topaz, Green, Orange Easter Egg Brooch/ER D&E Easter Egg Brooch and Earrings have brown navettes, green navettes, green chatons, amber chatons, green aurora borealis chatons, amber aurora borealis chatons and 3 stippled cabachons with all the colors. The navettes are unfoiled and set open back. The brooch measures 2 1/4 inches and the earrings are 1 1/4 inches X 7/8 inch.

The metal on the brooch does not show any wear but the earrings has enough wear that it looks silver color. These are a match to the brooch.

D&E aka Juliana Light Blue Demi Parure
D&E aka Juliana flower brooch has stems, swirls and loops of light blue chatons. The top stem ends with 3 clear aurora borealis chatons and all the others end with light blue chatons.

Set as an overlay in the center of the brooch is a florette with clear aurora borealis chatons.

The large stones are all prong set and the stems are glued.

The brooch measures 2 3/8 x 1 1/2 inches and the clip earrings are 1 3/8 X 1/2 inches.

The condition is very good.

D&E aka Juliana Clear and AB Brooch/ER Demi
D&E aka Juliana demi has a brooch and matching earrings.

Brooch is set with clear navettes and chatons in a 2 flower pattern with stems and chatons for leaves.

Setting over the top are 4 florettes of blue shaded aurora borealis chatons.

The stones are all prong set except those chatons set in the stems and they are glued.

The clip earrings match the brooch and measure1 1/2 X 1 1/4 inches.

The brooch measrues 2 1/2 X 1 3/4 inches.

The condition is very good.

D&E aka Juliana Blue and Aurora Borealis Demi D&E aka Juliana Demi has a brooch and matching bracelet

The brooch has 4 points and each has one side set with light blue chatons, other side has dark blue navettes. The center of this is set with an aurora borealis chaton that has a green color and this is outlined with tiny green chatons. The center of the 5 points is set with a large aurora borealis chaton. The stones are all prong set except the tiny green ones and they are glued.

The bracelet is set with the same stones and has 5 links, safety chain and etched clasp.

The major links are set with one large ab chaton 2 dark blue navettes, 2 light blue chatons and the green chatons. The joining links are set with a large ab chaton in the center and one light blue chaton on each side.

The bracelet measures 7 inches and the condition is good.

D&E aka Juliana Blue, Purple Easter Egg Demi DeLizza & Elster Stippled (Easter Egg) Brooch and Earrings set has all prong set stones. The brooch has 3 blue/purple stippled ovals and between them there are navettes in 2 sizes and shades of blue, chatons in blue aurora borealis, clear aurora borealis, fuschia and purple.

The navettes and stippled stones are unfoiled and set open back.

The brooch measures 2 1/4 inches and the earrings are clips that measure 1 1/4 inch X 1 inch and repeat the pattern of the brooch.

The blue stippled pieces are elusive and the condition of this demi is very good. There are 2 pictures.

D&E aka Juliana Topaz, Art Glass,AB Demi D&E aka Juliana demi has a brooch and matching earrings.

The Brooch measures 2 inches and is set with Topaz navettes, Smokey Topaz navettes, Aurora Borealis Topaz chatons, 2 Gold filigree balls, 2 orange art glass cabachons and one rectangular art glass stone in shades of topaz.

The brooch domes and measures 2 inches with a 3/4 dome.

The earrings repeat the pattern of the brooch and measure 1 1/4 X 1 inches.

All stones are prong set and the condition is very good.

D&E aka Juliana demi has a 5 link bracelet and matching brooch.

Juliana bracelet has goldtone metal setting with 5 links, etched clasp and safety chain.

The major links are set with 3 frosted green pear shape sets and light green chaton. There is an overlay of dark green chaton and 3 jonquil chatons.

The joining link is set with a large Jonquil chaton.

The bracelet measures 7 1/4 X 7/8 inches. Each clasp is set with one light green chaton.

Brooch has a swirl of light green chatons down the center with frosted light green pear shapes down each side of the swirl. Five jonquil chatons are set at the end of the brooch along with a wire over of 3 jonquil chatons and one dark green chaton.

The brooch measures 2 1/4 X 1 1/4 inches.

The condition is very good and all stones are prong set.

D&E aka Juliana Fuchsia, Red and Peridot Demi D&E aka Juliana demi has a brooch with matching clip earrings. The setting is goldtone with fuchsia chatons on the bottom row. The next row has fuchsia and periodt chatons separating flowers of clear petals and red centers. There are also purple chatons, blue chatons and peridot skinny navettes.

The earrings repeat the pattern of the brooch. The brooch measures 1 7/8 and the earrings are 7/8 X 3/4 inches.

All stones are prong set and the condition is very good.

This is a confirmed DeLizza and Elster set.

D&E aka Juliana Art Glass and Amber Brooch/ER
D&E aka Juliana brooch and clip earring demi parure have gunmetal setting. The center pear shape stone is art glass with topaz and yellow banding. This is outlined with topaz chatons and 4 topaz skinny navettes. The bottom row has larger topaz chatons and 2 skinny topaz navettes. Setting over the top of the brooch are 2 flowers with amber (orange) center and light topaz petals.

The clip earrings repeat the pattern of the brooch.

The brooch measures 1 5/8 X 1 1/2 inches and the earrings are 1 1/4 X 3/4 inches.

The navettes and art glass stones are unfoiled and set open back.

The condition is very good.

D&E aka Juliana Amber Kite Demi Parure
D&E aka Juliana Amber kite shape set has 5 link bracelet, brooch and earrings.

Bracelet is 5 link with etched clasp and joining links. This bracelet did not have the safety chain.

Links are set with one amber kite set and one clear aurora borealis chaton. Joining links are set with one amber chaton.

Brooch has 5 points that have one kite shape set and 2 amber chaons. To separate these there is a row of ab chatons. The center is a 12mm amber chaton.

Earrings are clip and have 3 amber kite shape sets with a swirl of ab chaton and 2 amber chatons.

Bracelet 7 1/4 X 1/2 inch.

Brooch measures 1 3/4 inch.

Earrings measure 1 7/8 X 3/4 inches.

All stones are prong set except the ab chatons in the brooch and earrings.

Condition is good.

D&E aka Juliana Peridot & Green Demi DeLizza & Elster aka Juliana demi has a bracelet and dangle earrings.

Bracelet features gorgeous peridot elongated keystone shape stones and emerald green rhinestones.

The clasp has green chatons in the clasp links.

Measures 7 1/4 inch x 3/4 inch.

DANGLE EARRINGS have the same pattern as the bracelet.

Measure 2 1/2 X 3/4 inches.

The condition is very good and all stones are prong set.

D&E aka JULIANA Summer White Demi Parure Bracelet has the classic 5 links that identify the D&E aka JULIANA designs. There is no safety chain and the clasp does not have the etching. 3 of the links are set with rectangular milk glass stones and the other 2 links have a clear rhinestone with a wire running to a cluster of 3 clear rhinestones and a milk glass navette. The joining links are set with one milk glass cabochon. The bracelet measures 7 inches X 3/4 inches and the clip earrings are 1 inch X 3/4 inch. The earrings have the rectangular milk glass set with one milk glass cabochon at the bottom and 2 clear rhinestones on each side of the cabochon. The stones are all prong set and the condition is very good. There are 2 pictures.
