Pencil dates from 1870-80 and has gold filled ends with textured black insert. The black insert may be enamel but it feels more like a material of some kind. There are 2 pictures, one is the pencil extended and the other is closed. The pencil extends by pulling. The measurement open is 4 1/2 inches and closed is 2 5/8 inches. The condition is excellent. |
